Every page that you visit with your iPad is usually stored in safari history. Safari, a web browser, usually organizes your search history and intuitively arranges it in the order of date. If you would like to cover the sites that you have visited, the best way to do it is to delete your search history.

How to Delete Your Safari History

You can delete your history in two ways: deleting the history that is within the safari browser or deleting the history within the settings.

Deleting history within the safari browser,

  1. Open the safari browser
  2. Go to the bookmark icon and tap on ‘History’. The icon will open and you will see all your search history organized in folders. You can choose to delete a specific website or you can delete the enter search history. To delete the entire history, you only need to press ‘clear history’.

Deleting history within the settings

  1. Go to the ‘settings’ icon.
  2. On the left side of the settings icon, there is a list of programs. Just right above the iPad icon there is the ‘safari’ icon. Click on the ‘safari’ icon and you will access the safari controls that will be displayed on the right hand panel.
  3. Scroll down the control panel until you reach the ‘clear history’ button. By pressing the button, all your safari history will be deleted.

You can increase your privacy by deleting caches and cookies on your iPad. When you delete cookies, you will have deleted website files in your browser that store information about you. On the other hand, deleting cache will delete any web files stored in your browser belonging to a particular website.
