By definition, a chart is the attempt to visually express data or numerical values thus facilitating their understanding. One of the great new features of version 7.1 is the ability to create navigation elements to the chart making them multi-functional and more dynamic if we compare it to a simple static chart.

A practical example of using the new chart model from Scriptcase 7.1 is showing a chart witg the sales of all employees in a period of one year. With this new model is able to open the sales of a certain seller directly by clicking on their respective position in the graph, it is also possible to navigate to the application so the query displaying all records regarding sales vendor selected.


The configuration of this feature is very simple in the Summary > charts, there is the option “Create link on the chart”. To the link work, the chart type needs to be set as synthetic.
