To perform inserts records into tables in SQLite INSERT command is used, its syntax is similar to other DBMS such as Microsoft SQL Server, for example. Check it out below:

INSERT INTO [Table] ([Columns]) VALUES ([Values])

As a practical example we will perform the insertion of a record in the table cars storing information such brand, model, color and value.

INSERT INTO Cars (Brand, Model, Color, Price) VALUES (‘Peugeot’, ‘308’, ‘Red’, 62000)

INSERT INTO Cars VALUES (‘Peugeot’, ‘308’, ‘Red’, 62000)

Note that the columns in the first example are indicated, but the second does not. You have the option of performing the insert without specifying the columns, but for that you need to know them previously, including their order.
