Unlike desktop browsers that have obvious ‘history ‘menus, history in iOS devices such as iPod touch and iPhone is usually un-evident. Although, history is not evident, it does not mean that there is no browsing history in your device. Instead, the IOS History (Apple) is just slightly hidden. Accessing the history is very simple.
- Tap and hold the back button in your device browser. When you hold the button, links to all your browsing history will show.
- Tap any link in the history and you will immediately be taken to your browsing history.
- You can opt to see the history in the landscape or vertical portrait. If you are using the smaller screened iPhone or iPod, history is easily visible using the landscape portrait. This is because page titles and URL’s are more visible in this portrait.
- If you want to see history from sites that you visited a few days ago, tap on the bookmark icon. A menu will appear. Tap on ‘history’ and drill down into specific dates. To view complete history, tap on any date folder. Also, to view the full iOS History (Apple), you can tap on any link in the history.
After seeing all your browsing history, you can do anything with it. You can delete it or decide to configure your browser to stop storing any more history. To prevent your browser from storing browsing history, you only need to turn on private browsing. By doing this, your web browser turns black. This ensures that no IOS History (Apple) is stored in your device.
